I just wanted to say that you all are great for what you are doing. Rots are great dogs. I always wanted one, and recently I got my wish. I recused a 8 month old rotti male, named Max from Onslow County Animal Shelter. They was going to put him down that day. But we saved him just in time. He is a wonderful boy, and him and my 3 year old are the best of friends. Keep up the good work. And Thanks you for the work and lives you save with this wonderful breed!!!

At times I send emails out to rescues for urgent Rotties in shelters with the hope a rescue can save them. My Rottie Sheba was from a shelter and had been abused. I think it's fantastic what you do for these gentle giants and I hope my emails reach you so you can save more.

I must say, this site is wonderful and I truly love what you all are doing for these dogs and the breed itself. Many people assume cause these dogs are large that they are going to bite or might be dangerous. Rottweilers are one of the most loyal and kind dogs that I know. let me be one of the first to say... It doesnt matter the size of dog you have whether they are large or small. It all matters on how you care and treat your dog while they are growing up that matters. I had a pitbull terrier and she was the biggest baby and would never harm a soul. I miss her dearly and that is why I am here... hoping to bring home a Rottie to help the cause and to bring more happiness into my life.

I found a beaten and left behind Rottie 7 yrs. ago and adopted her. She had many horror stories as she was afriad of sticks, brooms, and even balls. After many months of work with her, Brandy become the most wonderful animal i have ever had. She is dedicated and loyal and so loving. She was diagonsed last week with bone cancer in her front right leg. I have trouble getting her out of the house as she has 4 steps to down any way she goes outside. I have tried many home remedies of a doggie ramp but none are perfect as she is 130 lbs and 6' 2". I am un-employed and have already spent over $1000.00 in dr. bills. I am trying to find someone that may have a used dog ramp 6 ft. or longer they would sell very resoanable to help Brandy have better days to her end comes. Thank you all for being Rottie lovers as you all know they are the most wonderful, loving animals. Brandy

The next day I took her to "4 paws" that help me out in adopting her. Her name is Lucy, and know I have 3 Rottweilers (2 of are rescued) and one rescued Crogie for a total of 4 dogs in are home.. WOW! Let just say are two little kids are the happiest kids in the world, always have someone to play with..LOL

WOW! brought too tears by the story of Chardie in your news section, My first adoption of a Rottie, was back in England over 15 years ago, sitting in the vet with my little kitten Shakespear, and the cops walked in with a buddle of blankets, inside was a 9 month old rottie, so badly beaten and torn apart noone even knew he was a rottie, he had been used to bate pitbulls into fighting, thrown into a cage as a puppy so adult pitbulls could fight over him, wow ...anyway, vet was going to put him to sleep, i was in the next room, heard him cry, and asked the vet not too, convinced the cops to let me keep him, and $4000 later, he was home with me and growing up, 3 years later, that pup called Zues, saved my life from a burgular with a gun, i would have died if he hadn't jumped at the man and defended me, pinning him to the floor till the cops got there...you just never know where your best freind will come from!

Hi, we adopted Zoie, who is still a big part of our family (really big 95 llbs), in fact she has become even more than a pet, in April 2006 we gave birth to Connor, and now 2 & half years later, Zoie and Connor are inseparable. Zoie proved to be the most loving, funniest, totally energy exhaustible, member of this family, she is a perfect fit for our son Connor. In Reality, Yes we worried at first when we found out we were pregnant, how would we cope with a new unknown dog and a new born baby ect ect, but those worries were unfounded, we followed some simple common sense rules, ie not leaving dog alone with baby ect. And the moral of this story is, Zoie & Connor are the best of friends, she is happy, she is now a complete house dog, sleeps outside of Connor's bedroom guarding him. If anyone has any worries, concerns, or just needs some parental advice from those that have been there and done that, please feel free to ask ARRF to forward your e-mails to us. We are are advocates for dogs 4 kids. Brenn

It has been 4 months since I adopted "spirit" who we now call Layla. She's a great ol' girl! It has taken time for her to trust both me and my other dogs, but I think we've finally been accepted by her. She's gained some weight and has become quite spoiled!!! We are ALL happy now! Thank you Vikki and Suzie for getting me a great companion!

I just found your site and I love what you are doing! My boyfriend and I found 2 rottie pups on the side of a dirt road and brought them home with us. It was a female and a male. They were roughly 12 weeks. The female was in good health so, I gave her to my boyfriend's cousin. She is very well taken care of. I kept the little boy because he was sick. I took him to the vet and he had a serious infection in his tail from where someone tried to dock his tail with a regular rubberband. I was so upset, but the vet did surgery and gave him antibiotics. This month we are celebrating his 1st birthday. He has come a long way since I first got him. And now I can't live with out him.

you guys are so wonderful, its a shame that so many more wonderful rotties cant be saved by people like you guys. rottweilers are by far the best breed of dog, they have every quality that any person would want in a dog. anyone who says that rottweilers are bad dogs, i shall be struck down with a bolt of lightening. rotties are perfect in EVERY way possible. thank you everyone for taking care of as many rottweilers as you can, hope many more have a happy ending.

Hi everyone, I sure do miss the girls, Rowen and Autumn. They sure did keep the house going. Although 5 dogs were a little much at one time, my 3 and the two puppies it was worth every second being a foster mommy to these two beautiful babies. I really do miss them alot, but I know they got the best homes. I am so glad that their new mommies and daddies wanted them. They are so lucky and the mommies and daddies are lucky too. I know they will be loved. Thanks for everything. Kim

Dear ARRF, Speaking as someone in the Military, I was want to say "JOB WELL DONE" I had to take my rottweiler "Tank" to the pound about 2 years ago. I had no one that could take him, when I was deployed to Iraq. I had contacted other rescues in North Carolina and in South Carolina and was told they did not have room or I could foster him till a home was found. Well when Uncle Sam wants you, you don't have time to waste. I had to take Tank to the pound. Tank was almost 4 at the time, very well trained. I had no choice I put Tank in my car and drove to the local pound. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do and yes I have been in Iraq, but loosing my dog was worse. The day I was to leave, one of my buddies said he would take Tank. I went to the pound to pick up my boy and I was too late. They had killed him that morning. He was not there 48 hours and I was too late. My dog was gone and there was nothing I could do. I sure wish I would have found you people 2 years ago. You have to know you restored my faith in people! I will never get another dog until I am out of the military but you will be who I contact. I am enclosing a check to help with those 2 dogs Phoebe and Queenie its not much but I hope it will help. I want to thank you for helping out a fellow military person! You saved these poor dogs not just from loosing their home but their life! As I said before "JOB WELL DONE!!"
