Meet Macy! Macy was used as a breeding dog for the amish and when she was getting retired from one breeder, another one bought her and tried to get a few more litters out of her. When Macy was on their farm, she was ran over by something and her leg was shattered. Her owner took her to the vet to be put down. We asked to vet to do surgery right away to repair her leg. Once they got in there, they realized it was not fixable. We were told to euithenize or amputate. Amputate is it... Macy has been recovering and working on her fear of people since we have had her in May. She has been getting around great and working on her house breaking. She loves to snuggle with other dogs her size and will need a family who will continue to work on her fears. Macy is not fear agressive AT ALL. When she is scared, she will cower in the nearest corner, but once you pick her up, place her in your lap and start petting, shes content. If you think you have the quiet home and time to spend to continue to work with our favorite gal, please complete an application.
